Overview :

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Broomall and Roxborough, PA . Position Summary :

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care and acts as the coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, maintaining exam room standards, performing basic clinical procedures, assisting with wound care and casting, and ensuring effective communication between patients and providers. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between patients and providers by collecting and sharing pertinent information and following provider directives.
• Prepare patients for visits, including rooming, obtaining vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, prepping materials, and entering data into the EMR system.
• Assist with cast and soft goods application, as well as the removal of casts, staples, and sutures.
• Maintain exam room standards, ensuring rooms are cleaned and restocked daily.
• Assist providers in preparing prescriptions and completing patient forms (work release, disability, FMLA, etc.).
• Prepare patients' electronic charts and verify appropriate testing results prior to visits.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment.
• Scan clinical documents into the EMR system and print daily schedules.
• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
