• Westford, MA (Field-Based) Department :  Projects Fire Alarm Division Reports to :   Branch Manager Compensation : $19.23-$43.27 / hr.

• Position Summary The Fire Alarm Apprentice supports licensed Fire Alarm Technicians in the service, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems for FEI’s established customer base.
• This is an entry-level role designed to develop the skills required to become a licensed fire alarm technician.
• The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, customer-focused, and capable of working in both team-based and independent environments.
• This role includes hands-on fieldwork, exposure to fire alarm codes, and training in life safety system service procedures.
• Key Responsibilities
• Assist licensed technicians with on-site service, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm systems.
• Learn how to identify code issues, deficiencies, and non-conformance items.
• Support the setup and breakdown of equipment and tools at job sites.
• Perform basic device testing under supervision to ensure proper functionality.
• Help complete accurate documentation, service reports, and inspection forms.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
• Adhere to all FEI safety policies and participate in required training.
• Remain flexible for occasional overtime, weekend work, or holiday support when needed.
• Qualifications
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain during employment.
• Education & Certification Requirements

• OSHA 10 Certification preferred (may be obtained after hire).
