Job Relationships
Reports : Responsible To : Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Department Manager
Responsible For : Does not supervise other employees
Interrelationships : Works cooperatively with clinic and hospital departments and medical staff.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS : Experience :
- Previous experience in a health care setting preferred / not required.
Education :
High School graduate (or equivalent) or high school student with an interest in health care profession. (Must be 16 years or older)Current CNA Kansas Certificate, recommendedCPR certificate, must be obtained and maintained upon employment.Key Competencies

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : (CNA / NA responsibilities include but not limited to)
Prepare unit / patient room for receiving a patient / resident for admissionProvide personal care assistance including : bathing, hygiene, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, and ambulatingObtain and document vital signs, weight and intake / output as directedDocument accurately daily activities and pertinent informationMake regular rounds to assigned patients, anticipate their needs, answer call lights in a timely manner, and respond to alarms and emergency lights as soon as possibleTransport patient / resident as necessaryProvide postmortem care when necessaryWork with other team members to turn and transfer patients as directedWorking Conditions
Occasionally exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases.Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.Occasionally exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness)Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.Essential Functions
