  • Here is what it's like to be a Fleet Mechanic with PBNA :

    As an experienced Fleet Mechanic, day-to-day you will :

  • Work with a high degree of independence while performing PMs and repairs
  • Utilize leading-edge technology and programs including PM via voice application, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS, and more
  • Grow skills working on Pepsi's diverse fleet including automobiles, light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts
  • Perform advanced diagnostics across all OE platforms (Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electrical vehicles, material handling equipment, and more)
  • Perform high-level repairs such as engine and driveline, aftertreatment and emissions, and safety systems
  • Adapt and build repair and maintenance capability for alternative fuel applications such as electric vehicles, CNG, and B100
  • Diagnose failures, disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary
  • Maintain documentation and records such as vehicle records and pre-trip checklists
  • Respond to service calls
  • Support Pepsi's safety culture by adhering to all safety standards and procedures

  • Qualifications

    Minimum requirements :

  • Own basic hand tools; diagnostic, ergonomic, and high-tech equipment provided
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects (with or without accommodation)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable)
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation)
  • Brakes Certification
  • Experience or training with hydraulic and air brake systems
  • Experience performing aftertreatment and emissions repairs (e.g., class 6-8 diesel)
  • Experience performing driveline repairs (e.g., class 6-8 diesel)
  • Experience using diagnostic platforms (e.g., Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, Altel, etc.)
  • Helpful experience :

  • Experience removing and replacing mounted wheels to torque specs
  • Experience with diagnostic troubleshooting codes
  • Experience with parts management and inventory controls
  • Experience working under limited supervision
  • Experience using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, changing tires, small tools)
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and activities (oil changes, documentation, tracking miles / usage hours, etc.)
  • Experience with computers (iPad, desktops, hand-helds, laptops) for diagnostics
  • Experience repairing forklifts (propane / electric / battery systems, hydraulic systems, pallet jacks)
  • Experience with OEM manuals and current standards; familiarity with electronic modules
  • Experience repairing heavy-duty equipment (class 6-8 trucks, brakes, tires, engines, liftgates, etc.)
  • Experience or training with gas and / or diesel automotive repair
  • Experience performing engine repairs (class 6-8 diesel)
  • Experience repairing safety systems
  • ASE Electrical Certification
  • ASE Heavy Duty Certification
  • ASE Suspension Certification
  • ASE, Macs or Military AC certification
  • Experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL
  • Experience repairing light trucks and EV / gas-diesel trucks
  • Experience with shift work (on-call, 24 / 7 availability, varied shifts)
  • Hotwork / Welding Certification
  • Welding experience
