The Technology Team Lead plays a critical role in leading a team of technology professionals to achieve the organization's technological goals. The Team Lead bridges the manager (strategy and oversight) and the technical team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. As a people leader, the role includes hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, coaching, 1 : 1s, quarterly performance and engagement conversations, and driving results and high employee engagement. This role balances technical expertise, leadership, project management, and effective communication to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to a team of technical professionals, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
- Effectively manage team workload, allocate tasks, set priorities, ensure timely project delivery, and collaborate with the manager on expectations, performance, deadlines, and resource planning.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with goals and timelines.
- Monitor progress of project / service deliverables, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills, provide guidance and support, and stay updated with industry trends to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster open communication within the team and across departments, acting as a liaison to updates, roadblocks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and promote adoption of best practices and standards to maintain efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Services or a related field. Additional qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project analysis, application development and application programming.3 years of experience leading projects and working cross-functionally to deliver key initiatives.Technical toolbox should include :Knowledge / Design experience of Web APIs using C#
MS Azure (Functions, App Services, Container Services)MS Azure DevOps (GIT Repos, Azure CICD Pipelines)MS Visual Studio, MS Server products, SQL Server, scripting (VB or related)Event-driven architecture and messagingSQL Server, ETL, JSON, API and Web ServicesExperience with SOAP and SOAP utilitiesSecurity frameworks (JWT, OAUTH2)Experience creating REST API documentation with Swagger / YAML or similarEffective communication and presentation skills; ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects; strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and adapt to change.Preferred Qualifications
