Job Details :

Varied work schedule with flexible hours

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies

Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan appropriate care

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs

Formulate comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning utilizing assessment data

Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision

Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed

Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records

Provide care based on best evidence available and participate in research activities

Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts

Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in quality care delivery

Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure

BLS certification required

Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required for travel positions

Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area

Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations

Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
