Position: Staffing Coordinator
Facility: Optima Care Harborview
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Up to $35 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage in our fast-paced facility. This role works closely with the Director of Nursing and HR to support daily operations and quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage monthly nursing schedules

• Monitor attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism

• Adjust staffing based on census to reduce overtime and agency use

• Coordinate modified duty schedules

• Assist staff with scheduling requests

• Prepare payroll for nursing department

• Monitor licenses and certifications for compliance

• Support onboarding (ID badges, timecards, schedules)

• Provide backup to Unit Secretary as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in staffing within a nursing or long-term care setting

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Experience with scheduling systems and payroll

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
