Lead Steward

The Lead Steward is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of our front and back of house facilities. The individual will oversee or delegate responsibilities for additional utility workers. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. This role takes place in an events-based setting, which means that schedules and hours will vary. This role is a union position under Unite Here 11. Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the union, new hires in this role start at 80% of the negotiated pay rate. After 20 shifts worked, the employee will be raised to 90% of the negotiated pay rate. After 40 shifts worked (20 at 80%, 20 at 90%), the employee will be raised to 100% of the negotiated pay rate. The wage listed on this job posting is the starting wage of 80%.

COMPENSATION : The hourly rate for this position is $22.87 to $22.87. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramarks good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities :

• Oversees sanitation and cleanliness of dishroom and all workstations
• Oversees removal and proper disposal of waste in the location (including recycling)
• Oversees dishroom to ensure timely and appropriate sanitation and storage of dishware and utensils
• Maintains organization, storage, and labeling of chemical products
• Maintains storage areas so that inventory is sequenced, and products are easily accessible
• Trains and guides utility staff on job duties and proper safety and sanitation procedures
• Assists out in the front of the house when needed
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Keeps accurate Temperature logs.
• Ensure completion of any task as delegated by the Executive Steward, Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef or Manager
• Other duties as assigned by Leads and / or Management
