We are hiring a Principal Investigator (Archaeologist) to lead and manage archaeological projects across Texas and nearby states. This role involves Phase I-III fieldwork , artifact analysis, and contributing to high-quality archaeological reports. You will also help grow our cultural resources team in Texas.
Responsibilities :
- Lead small to medium projects or co-manage larger ones.
- Conduct field investigations, identify artifacts, and assess archaeological sites.
- Document research, write site forms, and report sections.
- Collaborate with field, lab, and office staff to meet project and professional standards.
- Support proposals, budgets, and business development efforts.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Anthropology or related field.Meets the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Archaeologists.5+ years in archaeology / CRM; 3+ years in leadership.Experience in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana; Section 106 and Antiquities Code knowledge.Phase I-III fieldwork supervision and experience with Federal Agencies / Tribal Nations.Valid driver's license; writing sample and professional references required.Preferred Skills :
Registered Professional Archaeologist (or eligible).GIS, ArcGIS, ArcMap, Field Maps, AutoCAD / MicroStation experience.Lab and curation experience.
