Position Overview

The MCICOM G5 Deliberate Plans Section Planner will support establishing and providing administrate support to Marine Corps strategic and operational installation programs, projects, and actions.

Essential Job Function

• Provide support to MCICOM G-5 to establish and administrate Marine Corps strategic and operational installation programs, projects, and actions.
• Support development of Marine Corps plans, processes, procedures, and policy in support of enterprise-level basing programs and initiatives (i.e., MCICOM Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership & Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-C) integration, Strategic Basing Program, Joint Basing, BRAC, Force Design, special project capacity analyses, etc.).
• Assist in detailed planning related to installation matters, future installation concepts, and installation special projects.
• Develop Planning Orders (PLANORDs), Operations Orders (OPORDs), and Letters of Instruction (LOIs) to implement installation actions and planning guidance.
• Support Marine Corps responses to Congressional and public inquiries pertaining to basing actions, installation planning, and installation related special projects.
• Provide conference planning and meeting support. This shall include pre-event planning, on-site coordination, and post-event activities for designated government, and inter-agency conferences, symposia, and workshops.
• Conduct reviews and propose updates to applicable orders, directives and policies governing installation planning.
