PI / WC Billing Specialist

Supports the daily operations of the Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation (PI / WC) team by managing intake, verification and billing-related tasks for PI / WC cases. Ensures accurate documentation, timely communication, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Verify benefits, open claims and attorney representation for new PI / WC cases; authorize treatment for clinical teams.
• Set up and maintain case records in the electronic health record (EHR) system with accurate and timely data entry.
• Maintain comprehensive logs and notes for all open cases.
• Review and prepare patient records and bills to be released via email, fax or mail.
• Investigate outstanding balances and follow up on the status of cases.
• Engage professionally with insurance adjusters, attorneys, patients and internal clinical teams via phone and email.
• Ensure all records and communications adhere to HIPAA and all regulatory and company compliance standards.
• Alert management to unusual case scenarios, potential compliance concerns or recurring operational issues.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment through effective teamwork and communication.
