Urology Nurse Practitioner

Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse community in New York City, is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a busy Neurology and Neurointerventional service line. This role includes inpatient consults, joint rounding with attending neurologists, and a rotating inpatient / outpatient schedule shared with another APP . The NP will also support quality improvement efforts and help maintain certifications for the Primary Stroke Center and Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.

Responsibilities :

• Provide inpatient neurology and neurointerventional consultations, including initial assessments, daily follow-up evaluations, and coordination of care.
• Round daily with the attending neurologist on hospitalized patients, contributing to care plans, diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.
• Provide bedside evaluations and participation in stroke alerts, often in urgent or emergent settings.

Alternate weekly between inpatient responsibilities and outpatient neurology clinic coverage in collaboration with another APP.
