Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Artesia NM is seeking a Reliability Manager. This position is accountable for all aspects and oversees multiple activities of the organizations site reliability programs ensuring high availability performance and resilience of critical systems and services.
Job Duties
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience is required with at least five years in a refinery or industrial setting. Experience in equipment reliability maintenance or engineering leadership roles is preferred.
Education Level
A bachelors degree in engineering or a closely related technical field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Required Skills
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities within a refinery or industrial environment. Strong understanding of equipment reliability principles across fixed rotating electrical and instrumentation assets. Proficiency in reliability tools and systems such as SAP (preferred) failure analysis methodologies (e.g. RCA FMEA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices. Solid knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g. API ASME NEC NFPA). Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making. Strong analytical organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Supervisory / Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of a team of employees.
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery warehouse / plant environment out-of-doors environment and driver-based environment including but not limited to chemicals pressure vessels tanks and rotating equipment. Subject to all temperatures weather and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing walking sitting twisting stooping crouching kneeling talking or hearing making visual inspections making precise hand and finger movements reaching or grasping perceiving color differences and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted). Job conditions may require lifting and / or carrying up to 50lbs and climbing up to 3ft.
