Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Manager to join our development and property management team . This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with an Associate Degree in Construction Management or a related field who are eager to build a career in commercial real estate development and construction project management.
The Assistant Construction Manager will support the planning, coordination, and oversight of construction and renovation projects across PRC’s property portfolio, gaining exposure to all stages of project delivery — from design and budgeting to construction and closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in coordinating construction safety, quality, schedules, budgets, and contractors.
- Review plans, specifications, and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and workmanship.
- Track and document project milestones, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Support vendor management, including bid solicitation and pay application review.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Prepare project reports and assist with capital improvement tracking for active properties.
- Learn PRC’s development and construction management processes within a professional real estate investment environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Construction Management or related field required.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Basic understanding of construction principles, budgeting, and scheduling.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project); familiarity with project management software, Bluebeam, as well as estimating software, is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self-starter with a strong eagerness and aptitude to learn.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Why Join PRC
