About The Position

Wellhart is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Florida. This exciting opportunity offers a 24-day assignment starting on 08 / 04 / 2025, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working 4-6 shifts per month in a busy Emergency Department that serves over 8,000 patients annually. The facility features 12 exam rooms and utilizes Meditech EHR. This role requires a Florida medical license and offers a chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize Meditech EHR system for accurate and timely documentation
• Manage and prioritize multiple patients efficiently
• Perform procedures and interventions as necessary within the scope of emergency medicine
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed
