Agency Development Manager (Acquisition)

Amazon Advertising is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for brand advertisers, agencies, and entrepreneurs. Our ad solutionsincluding sponsored, display, video, and custom adsleverage Amazon's innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage intended audiences throughout their daily journeys. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more. Our environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams across multiple locales.

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Agency Development Manager (Acquisition) to join our Local Ads team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and establishing relationships with local and regional advertising agencies to drive adoption of Amazon Ads solutions. This is a hunting role where you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and initiating partnerships to drive adoption of Amazon Ads solutions. You will play a crucial role in expanding our reach within the local agency ecosystem. You will act as a strategic partner, providing insights and guidance to help agencies achieve their marketing objectives. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment and is driven by ambitious goals. You'll work across Amazon teams, building trust with various stakeholders while contributing to our growth objectives. Your experience in navigating independent agency relationships at a senior level will be invaluable as we continue to expand our advertising offerings.

The ideal candidate will bring a consultative approach to building and nurturing agency relationships. You'll need to be an exceptional communicator, comfortable presenting to and collaborating with senior-level agency executives. A strong knowledge of the programmatic trading landscape is important.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of video (upfront) marketplace and working knowledge of data-driven (i.e. programmatic) media trading and media strategy
  • Domain expertise in digital advertising with focus on AdTech and programmatic
  • Experience working with senior agency executives and navigating agency dynamics
  • Experience building new customer relationships
  • Experience in business development working with media agencies

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and prospect new local and regional advertising agencies through various methods (e.g., research, networking, referrals).
  • Qualify potential agency partners based on their business needs and alignment with Amazon Ads offerings.
  • Conduct introductory meetings and presentations to educate agencies on the value proposition of Amazon Ads.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive agency adoption of Amazon Ads solutions.
  • Act as a strategic consultant, providing insights and recommendations to help agencies meet their clients' marketing objectives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the local advertising landscape and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product) to deliver comprehensive solutions to agencies.
  • Manage and track agency performance against key metrics.
  • Maintain consistent messaging and delivery of new Amazon Ads narratives, particularly for STV / Video products.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Beginning May 2025 : Five days per week office presence required
