Summary Of Position
The Department of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking fellowship-trained, highly skilled candidates for a faculty position in Nephrology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated clinician eager to contribute to a dynamic, collegial academic environment with opportunities for mentored career development. The ideal candidate will have interests in expanding one or more of our specialized clinical programsincluding glomerular disease, hypertension, and home dialysisas well as developing nephrology educational initiatives for trainees. A commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows is essential. For those interested, opportunities in education-focused roles and clinical research are supported through robust departmental initiatives.
Temple University Hospital is a 750-bed hospital with a busy emergency department, extensive critical care services, and active solid organ transplant programs (heart, lung, liver, pancreas and kidney). Our nephrology practice supports one of the nation's largest heart and lung transplant programs and benefits from in-house nephropathology services. Our affiliated dialysis clinics are expanding, including a growing home dialysis program. Faculty members in the Section of Nephrology are actively involved in clinical research, hold leadership roles on national committees, serve on advisory boards, and participate in international clinical trials. The Section of Nephrology is dedicated to its tri-fold mission of excellence in patient care, education and research, and as part of a health care system; we are expanding programs to meet the evolving needs of our community, locally and globally.
