Responsibilities : Intermediate :

Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies and services to recommend optimal solutions for business needs.

Design and develop sophisticated cloud-based systems that meet complex business requirements and technical specifications. Implement and integrate systems with cloud service providers, ensuring seamless operation and performance.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for cloud systems to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

Evaluate existing cloud infrastructures and propose improvements for optimization, cost-efficiency, and performance.

Apply advanced principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to solve complex cloud-related challenges.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with overall IT strategy and business objectives.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for cloud engineering.

Senior :

Lead research initiatives on cutting-edge cloud technologies and services to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation.

Architect and design sophisticated, scalable cloud-based systems that address complex business requirements and technical challenges.

Oversee the development and implementation of advanced cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and cloud service providers.

Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for cloud systems, focusing on performance, security, and reliability at scale.

Conduct in-depth evaluations of existing and proposed cloud infrastructures, providing expert recommendations for optimization and cost-efficiency.

Apply advanced principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to solve complex cloud-related problems and drive technological advancements.

Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with overall business objectives and IT roadmaps.

Mentor junior and intermediate team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in cloud technologies.

Subject Matter Expert / SME :

Serve as the ultimate authority on cloud engineering practices, overseeing and optimizing all aspects of cloud strategy and implementation.

Lead cutting-edge research initiatives to identify and evaluate emerging cloud technologies and their potential impact on the organization.

Architect and design innovative, scalable cloud-based systems that address complex business challenges and set new industry standards.

Develop and implement advanced testing methodologies for cloud systems, ensuring unparalleled performance, security, and reliability.

Conduct high-level evaluations of cloud infrastructures, providing strategic insights for optimization, cost-efficiency, and technological advancement.

Apply advanced principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to solve complex cloud-related problems and drive technological breakthroughs.

Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the organization's long-term cloud strategy and align it with business objectives.

Establish best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud engineering across the organization.

Qualifications : Required :

Intermediate :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field.

3-8 years of experience in cloud engineering or related IT roles (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance upon hire.

Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Solid understanding of cloud architecture, services, and best practices. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

Proficiency in multiple programming / scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).

Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Senior :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field

8-11 years of extensive experience in cloud engineering and architecture (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance upon hire.

Expert-level proficiency in multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Deep understanding of cloud architecture, services, and best practices. Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools. Strong programming skills in multiple languages relevant to cloud development. Expertise in containerization, orchestration, and microservices architectures Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex cloud projects. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Subject Matter Expert / SME :

Master's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

12+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-scale cloud initiatives

Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance upon hire.

Recognized thought leader in cloud computing with contributions to industry practices or academic research.

Expert-level proficiency across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud).

Comprehensive mastery of cloud architecture, design patterns, and emerging cloud technologies.

Extensive experience in cloud security, compliance, and governance at a global scale.

Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performance cloud engineering teams.

Outstanding communication skills, capable of influencing C-level executives and technical teams alike.

Desired : Intermediate :

Master's degree

Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).

Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines.

Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

Experience with serverless computing and microservices architectures.

Understanding of data analytics and machine learning services in the cloud

Senior :

Master's degree

Advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Google Cloud Certified Fellow).

Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures at enterprise scale.

Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and governance. Knowledge of advanced analytics, AI / ML integration in cloud environments.

Experience with high-performance computing and big data technologies in the cloud.

Contributions to open-source projects or published articles on cloud technologies

Subject Matter Expert / SME :

PhD

Contributions to cloud computing standards or patents.

Experience with quantum computing integration in cloud environments.

Expertise in AI / ML at scale in cloud platforms. Knowledge of edge computing and IoT integration with cloud systems.

Experience with blockchain technologies and their cloud implementations.

Track record of successful large-scale cloud migrations and transformations

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

The proposed salary range for this position is :

$74,600-$156,700
