County Highway Engineer - Live and work in beautiful Northern Michigan

The Grand Traverse County Road Commission (GTCRC) is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a background in roads and / or traffic. This position will  play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure that keeps our community safe and moving.

GTCRC is a progressive, professional organization that leverages innovation and GIS technology to collect data and inform decisions on road infrastructure. This position will work with an experienced group of engineering technicians, a surveyor, and a permits and violations employee.

Who we are looking for :

We are seeking someone to collaborate with multiple departments within the organization. The ideal candidate will be motivated by managing multiple projects, solving problems with their team and external contractors, and creating safe, efficient road designs and plans.

• Graduated with an Engineering degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Experienced in road design and construction management, and knowledge of MDOT standards
