Job Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Salem, Oregon 97301 – Oregon nursing jobs

Facility : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) / Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CVIMCU)

Start Date : January 5, 2026 or later

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 19 : 30)

Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1860-$2000

Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics (16+ years)

Unit Size : 30 beds (18 CVICU, 12 CVIMCU)

Orientation : 12 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Current and active RN license (Oregon RN license required before start)

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience with a strong cardiovascular background

BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

Epic charting experience (required)

Proficient telemetry skills

Previous travel nursing experience required

CCRN certification preferred

Ability to float between CVICU, CVIMCU, and affiliate hospitals as needed

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-cardiac surgery, heart failure, arrhythmias, and advanced cardiac interventions

Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac devices (IABP, Impella, LVAD / RVAD, TAVI / TAVR)

Assist with specialized procedures : arterial line management, chest tube insertion / removal, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)

Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and provide ventilator management

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Float to other units and affiliate hospitals as required

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR

Engage in ongoing training and professional development
