Job summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing product catalogs and developing data-driven pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and purchasing, to ensure data accuracy and improve business performance.
Key responsibilities
Catalog management
- Collect, clean, and manage large product datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain product catalog across internal systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Work with product and sales teams to ensure product listings are complete, searchable, and optimized for customer experience.
- Perform routine audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies, such as duplicate entries or missing information.
- Assist with development of sales support publications such as buyers guides and sales promotional flyers.
Pricing analysis
Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and historical sales data to develop strategic pricing recommendations.Evaluate the impact of pricing decisions on sales volume, profit margins, and overall profitability.Provide regular and ad-hoc pricing analysis to support promotional campaigns and markdown strategies.Maintain and update pricing databases, tools, and systems to ensure pricing accuracy across all channels.Reporting and insights
Create and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for catalog performance and pricing effectiveness.Prepare and present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.Use data visualization tools to clearly communicate complex information.Partner with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Pricing Analyst, or Catalog Analyst.Advanced / Expert level of skill in using MS Excel to manipulate data.Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.Experience with e-commerce platforms and catalog management systems is a plus.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Location
Ideally this role will be working in our Durham, NC office or Camden SC plant, however it may be open to remote work for highly qualified candidates.
