DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the Accounting Office at the Southeastern Veterans Center, where your responsibilities will include preparing and reallocating the budget as well as managing the distribution of budgeted funds for each fiscal year. You will keep the Deputy Commandant updated on account balances and provide support in decision-making processes for various departments and operations. Additionally, you will create and enforce internal policies and procedures in line with current accounting standards and regulations, while also determining, processing, and coding payment amounts and methods. Effective communication skills are crucial for reporting any accounting issues that could affect the overall operations of the facility to the Deputy Commandant.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
