Overview
We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will learn and gains skills involved in the maintenance of equipment and servicing work in a water treatment facility.
Hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm
- This position may have an on-call schedule
- A valid New Mexico Level 1 Water Certification is required
Responsibilities
Monitors treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water, sludge, and effluentMonitors gauges, meters, and control panelsObserves and reports abnormalities to leads and supervisorOperates valves and gates either manually or by remote controlStarts and stops pumps, engines and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processesMaintains shift log and records meter and gauge readingsCollects samples and performs routine process control tests and analysesPerforms routine maintenance functions and custodial dutiesPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications
High School Diploma or GEDA valid Drivers LicenseNew Mexico Level 1 Water Certification is requiredOptions
