Orthopedic Medical Assistant

As an Orthopedic Medical Assistant, you will assist our physicians and providers with a variety of patient care and administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include rooming patients, managing appointment scheduling, and handling chart management. You will also be tasked with ensuring patients understand and can fully benefit from our services, fostering a positive image of our practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned patient care responsibilities.
• Identify yourself to patients and their families, explaining the roles of the care team.
• Execute administrative duties as assigned.
• Send and receive patient medical records and accurately input new patient data into EPIC.
• Handle environmental responsibilities including setting up instruments and equipment per department protocols.
• Assist with other related organizational tasks as needed.
• Safeguard patient autonomy, confidentiality, and dignity at all times.
• Occasionally assist with chaperone duties during patient procedures.
