About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Biostatistics, Group Head for Immunology. This senior leadership role is pivotal in guiding the statistical strategy and execution of late-stage immunology programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing high-quality, scientifically sound statistical strategies, managing a large team of statisticians, and ensuring consistency in statistical methodology across various project teams. Key tasks include overseeing the development of statistical analysis plans, contributing to protocol design, and maintaining data integrity in analyses. The role also involves effective communication of complex statistical concepts to non-statisticians, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and representation of the statistics department in various internal and external meetings.

Applicants must have a PhD or Master's degree in statistics or biostatistics, with 15-20+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. In-depth knowledge of statistical methods, experimental design, and data analysis in clinical development is essential, as is a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to clinical studies and submissions. Experience with statistical programming languages such as SAS, R, and Python is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be adept at driving the exploration and application of novel statistical methodologies and tools and staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in statistical methodology.
