Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults, Pediatrics Annual Volume : Approximately 22,000 patients Patient Volume : 60.27 patients per day Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine ED Beds : 24 EMR System : Epic Support Staff Available : Physicians and APPs (Advanced Practice Providers, 24-hour daily with some flexibility) Specialty Backup Available : Limited onsite specialties; higher acuity cases referred to St. Michael s main campus Scribe Coverage : Not Provided Reason for Coverage : Transition of ownership and staffing needs Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (30-60 days for temporary privileging, expedited if provider has a clean file) Credentialing Timeline : Approximately 30-60 days Orientation Requirements : 4-hour remote EMR training (mainly offered on Mondays) and in-person hospital orientation with shadow shift Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered General Emergency Medicine procedures Licenses : Active Texas State License Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, BLS (ATLS can be expired for EM Boarded physicians if previous certification can be shown) Experience : Must have completed an Emergency Medicine (EM) or Family Medicine (FM) residency FM candidates must demonstrate active practice in an Emergency Department setting with a census exceeding 10,000 visits per year within the last two years Other Qualifications : Board Certification by ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM, or equivalent Must hold an MD degree Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment Manage 12-hour shifts, independently handling approximately 60.27 patients per day Participate in required orientation and EMR training Adhere to hospital protocols and compliance standards
