Job Summary :
Essential by Christophe is seeking a polished and proactive Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team! The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality to every shift. As a Server Assistant, you will support Captains and Food Runners in executing seamless service, contributing to the elevated guest experience that defines our Michelin-starred restaurant.
Key Responsibilities :
- Attend preshift meetings to stay informed on restaurant goals, service notes, and menu updates.
- Assist in setting and resetting tables throughout service with precision and attention to detail.
- Support Captains and Runners by delivering water, clearing plates, refreshing silverware, and maintaining clean and organized tables.
- Monitor guest needs and ensure tables are properly maintained throughout the dining experience.
- Anticipate team needs and communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Assist with polishing glassware, silverware, and dishware to uphold presentation standards.
- Stay composed and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ensure stations and service areas remain clean and stocked throughout service.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of service, including sidework and deep cleaning tasks.
- Provide respectful, professional, and gracious service to all guests and colleagues.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant preferred.Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.Professional demeanor and appearance.Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Interest in hospitality and a desire to grow within the restaurant industry.What We Offer :
