Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to work in both Cath and EP labs, with significant EP responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Position based in an acute care hospital with Level II trauma and Magnet recognitionRole covers both Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP), with EP comprising a large part of the assignmentClinicians may float to Cath Lab or between facilities within the state as neededAdult cardiac patient populationUtilizes Epic charting system; Epic experience requiredDay shift schedule is 4x10 hours, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PMOn-call required 3 weeknights per week, each for 2 hours; no weekend call unless desired for Cath Lab shiftsNo weekend shifts required unless picking up additional callScrubs provided on-sitePrimary responsibilities include assisting with both cardiac catheterization and a broad range of EP proceduresFacility offers training in EP for strong Cath Lab TechnologistsAll travelers expected to float between facilities as neededTravelers may only work a maximum of 1 calendar year and must take a 6-month break before returningWillingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) is requiredPre-start and annual education modules are required and completed onlineFree parking is available on-siteFirst-time travelers will be considered for this positionRequirements
Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab or EP experience requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredEither ARRT (R) or RCES certification required; license required if applicableExperience with McKesson equipment and Per UD requiredEpic EMR charting experience requiredMust be able to provide at least 2 supervisory references within the last 3 years in comparable settingsCandidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not acceptedPast permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a travelerFacility only accepts Hep B vaccination; titers or declinations not permittedBenefits
