Location : Knoxville, TN (100% Onsite)

Job Type : Contract | Full-Time

Shift : 1st Shift, Monday Friday, 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM; OT every other Saturday

Duration : 12 Months

About the Role

Seeking an Inventory Controller Assistant to manage shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of laboratory materials, supplies, and specimens in a regulated lab environment. This role emphasizes inventory control, documentation, and adherence to safety guidelines including biohazard handling and PPE usage. The candidate will perform physical and administrative tasks essential for uninterrupted lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, document, unpack, and reconcile incoming materials and specimens.

Troubleshoot and initiate resolution of shipment delays for inbound and outbound samples.

Organize, inspect, and distribute inventory materials in appropriate storage areas.

Prepare shipments to other locations and maintain accurate shipping records.

Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety policies and proper use of PPE.

Operate and maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, complying with SOPs.

Support facility maintenance tasks as needed using related computer systems.

Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds safely.

Complete other lab support duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP preferred.

Prior material handling or maintenance experience advantageous.

Forklift certification not required.

Additional Details

Onsite interviews include lab tours; suitable attire (long pants, closed-toed shoes) is mandatory.

Strict adherence to lab dress code and safety guidelines is required.
