ATTORNEY POSITION OPENING
The Disability Law Center (DLC), Utah's Protection and Advocacy System for individuals with disabilities, has an opening for an attorney. The successful candidate will provide advocacy for individuals with legal issues related to their disability, specifically advocating for their rights under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act. This position focuses on litigating cases under both statutes and will involve working closely with other members of DLC's Fair Housing and Access and Rights Teams. The ideal candidate will have experience practicing in federal court and managing the discovery process. Other duties may include preparing legal research, providing legal advice, reviewing and understanding administrative regulations, providing legal policy analysis, developing public educational programs, participating in grant proposal preparation, and representing the DLC or its clients in various administrative proceedings. The position is located in Salt Lake City with some periodic travel to other areas of the state. DLC has adopted a hybrid work policy; attorneys are permitted to work remotely from home, so long as they can come into the office for required meetings.

About DLC
The DLC is a non-profit, civil rights–focused law office providing legal advocacy services statewide to Utahns with disabilities. Services include : legal advice and representation (including litigation), intake and referral, outreach, training, and public policy advocacy. DLC has approximately 30 staff members, including attorneys, advocates, intake specialists, administrators, and support personnel. Core program funding comes from annual federal grants.

Compensation and Hours
This is a full-time position. The DLC's salary range and benefits package for a candidate meeting all minimum requirements are competitive with other public interest law providers. Starting salary begins at $95,500, depending on experience.
