ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Registered Nurse Location : Kirksville, Missouri (zip 63501) – Northeast Missouri healthcare jobs Facility Setting : Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center Contract Duration : 13 weeks Start Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : January 5, 2026 Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 00pm – 6 : 30am) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Missouri or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a hospital setting At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required Strong clinical skills : triage, PIV, port access / deaccess, Foley catheter placement, NG / OG tube placement, wound care, splint / OCL application Ability to manage a patient ratio of 4-5 : 1, with ESI level 3 average Experience with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patient care Proficient with EMR (EDIS Medhost) and Omnicell medication dispensing systems ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from neonates to seniors Perform advanced clinical procedures : ultrasound-guided IV, assist with arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement Respond to call lights and assist with patient transport as needed Support psychiatric patient boarding and placement in the ER Float to other hospital departments as required (average 1 shift per 13-week contract) Mix medication drips using vial to bag adapter during night shifts Ensure accurate completion of EMTALA paperwork and compliance with regulatory guidelines Participate in blocked scheduling if requested Ready to take the next step in your emergency nursing career?
