About the Position :

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support our pharmacy team in delivering high-quality care. You'll gain hands-on experience in medication therapy management, prior authorization processes, patient communication, and more. This position is an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting while preparing for your future career as a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities :

• Utilize the MTM Outcomes platform to conduct medication reviews and provide therapy recommendations based on the patients condition.
• Contact patients upon initiation of therapy to provide counseling on common side effects, proper administration, adherence, and frequency of useunder the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist with prior authorization submissions and track them through completion.
• Communicate with physician offices for prescription clarifications and necessary updates.
• Monitor and respond to patient inquiries regarding their medications through multiple communication channels. Prepare patient work-ups and retrieve relevant patient and lab data.
• Support special projects assigned by the Clinical Pharmacist and VP of Clinical Services.
