The Department of Health Services (DHS) , Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) is recruiting for a Physical Therapist (PT). CWC provides short-term and long-term residential services to assist people living with intellectual disabilities in acquiring the personal skills needed to reach their highest potential. CWC is located at 317 Knutson Drive on the north side of Madison.

Position Summary
As a PT, you will provide direct physical therapy services to individuals who live at CWC and have an intellectual and developmental disability or have experienced traumatic injuries or environmental insults. Responsibilities include providing the full array of physical therapy services to individuals of all ages with various diagnoses and types of disabilities. Additional responsibilities of the PT include participation with the training of CWC professional and para-professional staff and the training of community personnel, interdisciplinary team, unit, and department staff as well as assisting with the Physical Therapy Student Program and the Work Injury Management Program.
Salary Information
The starting salary is between $40.00 and $46.50 per hour (approximately between $83,200 and $96,700 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position in pay schedule and range 11 / 02.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
