Laundry Aide

Environmental Services Laundry Aide 1.0 FTE (80 Hours Bi Weekly) 1st Shift 5 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm Occasional Weekend / Holidays

Position Overview :

The laundry aide position provides laundry and linen services to all departments, patients and residents at Winona Health. The caregiver must be flexible to work several positions with varied responsibilities. Must provide excellent customer service to those we serve.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Provides excellent customer service to all patients, residents, customers and co-workers.
  • Anticipates the needs and wants of those we serve.
  • Completes documentation as required.
  • Use of commercial laundering equipment such as washers, dryers and labelers.
  • Ability to sort, wash, dry, fold, hang and deliver personal laundry to residents.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Prioritizes and organizes work efficiently to meet department timelines.
  • Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
  • Keeps an open mind and demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and techniques that embrace change.
  • Understands, supports and integrates the organization's vision / mission / values / manifesto.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience :

  • High School / GED Equivalent.
  • Previous commercial laundry experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
