VanderHyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is seeking a self-starting, motivated, and organized individual to join our team as a Warehouse Team Lead . This role works closely with and supports the Warehouse Manager to keep our operation running smoothly.

🛠️ What You'll Do

Assist the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day warehouse operations

Assist in directing warehouse associates to make sure time and resources are used effectively

Help organize tools, equipment, and materials for jobs

Track and reconcile inventory with accuracy and accountability

Identify and prepare material / pipe lists for vendor returns

Pick up and deliver materials to job sites as needed (including towing / hauling trailers)

Operate a forklift safely and responsibly

Assist in improving processes to eliminate inefficiencies

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

Communicate professionally with team members, vendors, and customers - in person and on the phone

✅ What We're Looking For

A self-starting, motivated, and organized individual with strong follow-through

Knowledge and experience with basic hand and power tools

General knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and tools

Strong organizational and time management skills

Detail-oriented with good analytical and numerical skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while supporting the warehouse team

Comfortable working at heights (ladders) and in all weather conditions

Forklift certification or experience (required); additional equipment skills a plus

Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Ability to drive while towing / hauling a trailer

Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods
