United Trades of America is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic for projects in Decatur, AL . We are looking for a professional with a solid background in installing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal components, especially for HVAC systems. The pay rate is competitive, based on experience, ranging from $20 to $30 per hour .

Job Specific Duties :

• Installation : Install sheet metal ducts, vents, and partitions in buildings and other structures according to SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association) standards.
• System Optimization : Hang duct systems securely and level, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance. Adjust installations to meet performance specifications and balance air supply.
• Duct System Fabrication : Sketch duct system transitions and connections for fabrication with supervision.
• Fitting & Joining : Join duct sections using various techniques, ensuring secure and airtight connections for HVAC systems.
• Quality Assurance : Inspect and test installed sheet metal systems to verify they meet safety, code, and efficiency standards.
