In our Finance division, caregivers use their knowledge and skill every day to provide exceptional experiences for patients and their families. As a Patient Access Registrar, you will function as the receptionist, performing registration and clerical duties associated with patient admission. A caregiver in this position works part-time days from 3 : 30p.m.-10 : 00p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Visit patient rooms to gather needed insurance and financial information.
• Confirm eligibility, verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification, referral and authorization for identified patient registrations.
• Explain financial responsibilities for services received, payment options and collection procedures to patients and / or parties responsible for payment.
• Counsel patients regarding insurance benefits and recommend alternative sources of payment and / or financial assistance when appropriate.
• Ensure that all necessary demographic and billing information is obtained for all patients and entered in the computer system with timeliness and accuracy.
