About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Current state license as a Registered Nurse or appropriate certification

Certifications : BCLS, ACLS, Basic EKG / Arrhythmia identification

Must-Have : Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting

Description :

This position requires a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician to provide support in a busy cath lab environment.

Responsibilities include assisting in invasive and non-invasive procedures.

The Cath Lab is equipped to operate multiple procedure rooms with on-call staff available for emergency procedures.

The patient population served includes newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring procedural intervention.

Continuous patient assessment will be conducted before, during, and after procedures.

The technician will work collaboratively with a team of RNs, RTs, and RCISs to deliver high-quality care.

Staff must comply with established policies and standards of practice relevant to cardiac procedures.

Comprehensive ongoing education and skills evaluation will be part of the role to ensure staff remain current with clinical developments.

Invasive procedures require knowledge of conscious sedation protocols.

Team members will participate in ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff and support optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including device implants.

Communication with medical staff, patients, and family members is integral to the role.

An understanding of patient care needs and the ability to respond to them effectively is essential.
