Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sr. Payroll Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for the preparation and review of timecard reports for a high-volume workforce, processing payroll-related transactions, and providing frontline support to field employees. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative mindset to support payroll operations across multiple locations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and resolving employee inquiries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

A typical day may include :

  • Generate and preparation of timecard reports for 5000 employees.
  • Responsible for processing weekly payroll.
  • Review and audit the weekly and biweekly reports.
  • Run and audit the mandatory weekly store reports.
  • Assist and review the payroll representatives' daily processes as needed.
  • Support field employees with any payroll-related questions.
  • Review timecard reports and make necessary corrections.
  • Reconcile invoices from staffing agencies.
  • Review garnishments and send to third party.
  • Issue and distribute employees' final payment (daily).
  • Process time-off requests and verify eligibility.
  • Process direct deposit requests.
  • Respond to basic questions about human resources issues that affect payroll.
  • Assist stores with any timecard or PTO issues.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organize and distribute paychecks to store locations.
  • Other projects as requested.

Qualifications

Your experience brings :

  • Proficient in use of Access, Excel, and MS Outlook
  • ADP Payroll knowledge preferred
  • Multi-state experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Access a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Retail experience preferred
  • 2-3 years payroll experience preferred
  • Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Professional office setting with low to moderate noise
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift / move up to 20 lbs. and navigate stairs
  • Frequent walking and movement between floors / departments

    Compensation

    Hourly Range : $27-$30 / hr. Final offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

    What to Expect

    Schedule : Full-time role with weekday office hours; occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak retail seasons. Work Location : Irvine, CA 5 days per week in-office.
