Imagine calibrating a micrometer to verify a flawless coating, blending a rubber compound to exact specs, and signing off on a roll that will run in a high-demand production line tomorrow. That’s a typical night for a Precision Roll Finishing Operator at American Roller.

The Opportunity

  • Openings : 2 immediate 3rd shift roles
  • Schedule : Sunday–Thursday, 10 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM (paid lunch)
  • Training : Must train on 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM)
  • Pay : $20.00–$23.75 per hour + 4.0% shift premium
  • Location : Union Grove, WI

What You’ll Tackle

  • Blend / compound polymer and rubber materials for coating applications.
  • Apply coatings to industrial rolls, meeting tight tolerances and finish requirements.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and shop math to validate precision.
  • Interpret blueprints and job instructions to set up work efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and maintain safe, efficient operations.
  • Establish and hit incentive-based production targets.
  • Capture production data with basic computer tools; communicate clearly with teammates.

  • At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfort with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) — preferred
  • Blueprint reading familiarity — preferred
  • Strong shop math and problem-solving
  • Experience with compounding and blending
  • Equipment troubleshooting capability
  • Excellent communication and basic computer proficiency
