Clear Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Lead / Estimator to join our team. The Sales Lead / Estimator will play a crucial role in identifying and securing construction projects, as well as accurately estimating project costs. This position requires a combination of sales skills, construction knowledge, and financial acumen to ensure the success of our construction projects.

This is a hybrid position and can be based in a home office Santa Barbara, Ventura or LA counties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, inbound leads, and prospecting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Present Clear Construction's services and value proposition to clients effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial terms

Estimating

  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate project cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, designers, and subcontractors to obtain input and pricing for project estimates.
  • Utilize industry-specific software and tools to generate detailed project cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. Experience in SAGE Estimating 20.1 preferred.
  • Prepare and submit competitive and accurate bid proposals to potential clients.
  • Continuously update and refine cost databases to ensure up-to-date pricing information.
  • Complete any other job-related duties as assigned .

    Qualification Requirements

    MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSURE, OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree. Preferably in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A clean criminal background check required for employment

    • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Three years’ experience in construction sales and estimating, preferably in high-end residential construction.
  • Previous experience working as a Construction Project Manager or Superintendent in high-end residential.
  • In-depth understanding of the local construction landscape.

    • OTHER SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in construction estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in Procore preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience using Bluebeam Revu

    • Typical Working Conditions

    Work performed in a combination of an office and rare field environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. In some instances, this job may require work in areas where ear, eye, and hard hats for protection are necessary.
