Summary : Perform general maintenance duties and assist with emergent weather conditions.

Reports To : Facilities Supervisor, Director of Facility Services

Titles Supervised : N / A

Shift / Hours : 11am -7pm 37.5 hrs. / week

Essential Responsibilities :

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them.
• Repair machines, equipment or structures as necessary.
• Work on ladders.
• Snow removal required.
• Perform jobs as required by work orders in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist in all emergency matters ranging from fire safety procedure to on call service.
• Willing to learn to operate different equipment such as snowplow, spreader and John Deere bucket loaders.
• Comply with all company safety regulations.
• Be able to perform with minimal supervision.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or GED Trade School preferred or knowledge of the trade's equivalent to 4 years vocational school training

Experience : 1-2 years of related experience

Licensure : CT State Motor Vehicle Driver's License

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively.
