Lead Data Solutions Manager

Location : Chicago Metro Area

Job Type : Full-Time | Exempt

Compensation : $150,000 $165,000

Benefits : This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), parental leave, bonuses, and PTO. Additional benefits include tuition reimbursement, HSA, and virtual healthcare support.

Our client is hiring for a newly created, high-visibility role that offers direct exposure to senior leadership. The Lead Data Solutions Manager (Manager, Commercial Data Solutions) will play a key role in shaping strategy across pricing, trade, cost structures, and overall market competitiveness. In today's fast-moving, tariff-sensitive environment, these areas demand rapid, data-driven decisions backed by robust analytics.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company where data is at the core of decision-making. You will be involved in :

  • Using data to optimize pricing, shift demand, and renegotiate supplier contracts to gain a competitive edge.
  • Building decision-support tools that help identify where to preserve margin.
  • Developing predictive models that simulate various tariff and pricing scenarios.
  • Delivering strategic insights that support commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers.
  • Acting as a key liaison between technical data teams and commercial stakeholders.
  • Presenting insights to C-suite executives in a clear, actionable manner.

Requirements

Education : BA / BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Experience : 7+ years of professional experience in Data & Analytics roles, with a strong track record of delivering impactful data solutions.
  • Proven success designing and deploying end-to-end data products across Sales, Category Management, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Trade, and Front Office domainsideally within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Minimum 5 years working with SAP data products (e.g., BW, HANA, Datasphere, ECC, S / 4HANA), with deep understanding of SAP data architecture in commercial functions.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Business Objects, and Analysis for Office.
  • AI / ML Operationalization : Ability to scale AI / ML models from experimentation to production to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI technologies applied to business decision-making processes.
