Target On-Demand Team Member

Starting hourly rate : $15.75 per hour. Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand Team Member, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members. When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. We also ask for your active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every four weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts at Target. If you do not respond to our attempts at contact, your employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within five months, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are critical to your success in this role.

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities : demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience, creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests, engaging with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs, being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, scanning and bagging all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices, working efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy, making the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events, understanding and showing guests how to use Wallet and the other features and offerings within the Target App, attempting every return and following register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to de-escalate any situations and recover the guest shopping experience, delivering easy and accurate service to all order pick up, drive up, and registry guests, maintaining a clean, clutter free work area, stocking supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest, demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance, working in a safe manner at all times, complying with all safety policies, best practices, and training, reporting hazards and correcting where possible, supporting guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, drive-up returns and maintaining a compliance culture while executing those duties, supporting cash office processes as needed, including management of cash systems, and all other duties based on business needs.

We expect accurate cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office operations as needed, scanning, handling and moving merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others, flexibility when picking up shifts to help meet store needs, active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact, capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, and ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
