Join one of Florida’s leading cardiovascular teams at UF Health Shands Heart & Vascular Hospital and make an impact where every heartbeat counts. This Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist contract is open for immediate placement — apply now before the role closes!

Position Details :

Start Date : December 22, 2025

Location : Gainesville, FL

Facility : UF Health Shands Heart & Vascular & Neuromedicine Hospitals

Schedule : 4x10 Day Shifts with rotating overnight & weekend call

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Radius Rule : 50 miles

Requirements :

RCIS or ARRT certification (required at submission)

BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or Cardiovascular Technology experience

Previous travel experience required

Florida state license (if ARRT certified)

Experience with PCI, Impella, IABP, and interventional cardiology

Pediatric and adult congenital experience preferred

No employment gaps over 30 days without explanation

Responsibilities :

Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures (angiograms, stents, pacemaker implants, etc.)

Operate fluoroscopy, hemodynamic, and cath lab equipment with precision

Prepare, position, and monitor patients during procedures

Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout each case

Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesiologists in high-acuity settings

Accurately document procedural data and patient outcomes

Additional Info :

Floating may be required

HCF-issued scrubs provided

No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of assignment

Max RTO for contract : 8 days

Flu vaccination or exemption required per UF Health policy
