About the Role :

The Bartender / Server at Santa Clara Resort LLC (SCR) plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service in both bar and dining areas. This position requires the ability to skillfully prepare and serve a variety of beverages while also taking food orders and ensuring timely delivery to guests. The role demands a strong focus on customer satisfaction, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to all health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth for the resort. Ultimately, this position is key to enhancing the overall hospitality experience and supporting the resort’s reputation for excellence.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a bartender or server in a hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of standard drink recipes and beverage preparation techniques.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or supplies as needed.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a resort or high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Greet guests promptly, take food and drink orders accurately, and deliver orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations related to food and beverage service.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, and balance cash registers at the end of shifts.
  • Engage with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions about the menu, and resolve any service issues professionally.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
  • Skills :

    The required skills such as beverage preparation, customer service, and cash handling are utilized daily to ensure guests receive prompt and accurate service. Effective communication skills enable the bartender / server to interact warmly with guests and team members, fostering a positive environment.
