Pharmacy Technician - Floor Operations

Location: Lenexa, KS

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Work Setting: Fully On-Site

Position Overview

A pharmacy fulfillment center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily floor operations, including picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for pharmacist verification. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced in pharmacy workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision
• Process returned medications and handle recycling/disposal according to procedure
• Prepack frequently used medications, label, and store during low-volume periods
• Manually package materials and products as needed
• Pull and pick medications from shelving and storage areas
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy
• Notify the pharmacist of any items that do not scan correctly
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and restock supplies
• Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA
• Adhere to safety, attendance, and dress code policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Active and clear Kansas Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently throughout the day
• Ability to sit or stand for 7-10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
• Finger dexterity for operating office and pharmacy equipment
• Visual acuity for reading fine print; ability to distinguish colors and adjust focus
• Ability to hear normal voice communication
