Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

Unit : Telemetry Unit – 24 beds

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (19 : 00-07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 23 / 2025 – End : 2 / 22 / 2026)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Patient Ratio : 4 : 1

Orientation : Twice monthly

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or Cardiac nursing experience

Current BLS & ACLS certifications

Associate's degree in Nursing or higher

Proficiency with telemetry equipment : Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo

Preferred : Experience with Cerner EHR

Ability to provide clinical care for cardiac patients (young adult to elderly)

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Monitor and care for patients with cardiac conditions, including chest pain, atrial fibrillation (A-fib), congestive heart failure (CHF), and pre / post cardiac catheterizations

Utilize telemetry equipment (Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo) to assess and document patient status

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Cerner EHR)

Provide patient and family education regarding cardiac conditions and treatments

Float to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units as needed

Uphold a positive, team-oriented attitude in a family-focused healthcare unit
