We're searching for a Clinical Practice Consultant, someone who's ready to be part of the best ranked children's hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will demonstrate theoretical and clinical expertise in the physical, psychosocial, developmental, and educational aspects of nursing care for specified patient populations. The Clinical Practice Consultant works interdependently and independently with the multi-disciplinary team. Scope of practice will include practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, administrator, and change agent. The Clinical Practice Consultant is dedicated to promoting optimal patient / family care with the goal of enhanced patient / family outcomes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Serves as an advanced clinician
• Provides practice level leadership and targeted quality improvement
• Closes gaps in care
• Manages relationships internally and externally
• Engages with the community
• Educates providers and practice staff on health topics
• Supports effective deployment of the program at the practice level through strategic partnerships while assessing trends in quality measures and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Consults in areas of expertise
• Serves as an educational resource for practitioners, staff, and other health professionals
• Acts as a researcher
• Acts as a change agent
• Serves as an administrator
