Construction Manager – Telecommunications / Fiber / OSP

Location : Field-based (regional travel required)
About the Role
We’re building broadband networks that connect communities and close the digital divide. As a Construction Manager, you’ll lead field operations for large-scale fiber builds — managing crews, contractors, and schedules to deliver reliable, high-quality networks that last for generations.
You’ll be hands-on in the field, solving problems in real time, ensuring safety standards are met, and keeping projects on track. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact by helping bring high-speed internet access to areas that need it most.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day construction for multiple fiber projects (aerial, plow, trench, bore, micro-trench, splice / test).
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure work meets design, quality, and permitting standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field inspectors.
- Review daily production reports, material usage, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and permitting regulations.
- Track budgets, schedules, and change orders.
- Support a safety-first culture across all field operations.
What You Bring
10+ years of progressive experience in OSP fiber construction management.Proven experience overseeing FTTH, middle-mile, or long-haul projects.Strong knowledge of OSP construction methods — aerial, trench, bore, splice, and fiber testing.Familiarity with ROW and permitting processes (DOT, BLM, USFS, Railroad, County, Municipal).Skilled at coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors.Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital field reporting tools.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally.Nice to Have :
Experience with GPON / XGS-PON builds.OSHA 10 / 30 certification.Familiarity with OSP mapping or construction management software (Vetro, 3GIS, Smartsheet, OSPInsight).Why Join Us
